A leading North American retail food supplier was looking to upgrade their palletizing equipment from manual hand packing to fully automated in two facilities and needed a partner to offer a complete solution and optimize their floor space.
The customer wanted to automate 10 lines, 7 at one facility and 3 at another, which were doing all of their case palletizing by hand. The project scope further included pallet dispensers, sheet placers, a stretch wrapper, a labeler, extensive case conveyors and a control system. The customer wanted to add machines but was not sure how to best optimize their floor space.
The initial inquiry came from a contract engineer firm hired by the customer, which had worked with Brenton in the past. In the beginning, several other competitors were introduced to the project. Brenton outperformed other top competitors by delivering a complete system, integrating 10 high level infeed conventional palletizers with all the components listed in the project scope, at the best price. Brenton worked with the contract engineer firm and developed many different floor plans until they had the best design for both facilities.
